A veteran of the music scene, Mark Garthwait has been rocking since 1987. This was him then - note the fresh ink.

During this stage in his career, Mark played lead guitar or drums in several bands, opening for major musical acts such as HATEBREED, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Murphy's Law at major concert halls and universities.

Mark Garthwait is a seasoned guitarist and songwriter living and rocking in Connecticut's Northwest Corner. Originally from Cheshire, CT, Mark is recognized throughout the state as a powerhouse lead guitarist, most recently performing in local musical theater productions (Rock of Ages, The Who's Tommy) and in Connecticut cover bands DRAMA, Kings & Queens, and Isle of Lucy. When not on stage, Mark offers guitar lessons to pupils of all ages and musical backgrounds at George's Music Center in Torrington, and produces original music and sketch art in his home studio.
